OVERTIME?

As men in today's
society, we invest thousands of dollars on formal education for our children
and ourselves, but how much do we invest in the Spiritual development of our
families and our own hearts? Today more than ever, there is a noticeable
decline in the moral and Spiritual values in our culture, and I believe that it
starts with how we are discipling our men in the church.
Did You Know?
There are
115 million men, aged 15 and older, in the United States
86 million of
those men have no relationship with Jesus Christ
Only 6
million (that's 1 out of 18) men are engaged in discipleship
There are
82 million children under the age of 18. Tonight, 39% of them will go to
bed without a biological father at home
50% of
all first marriages will end in divorce, affecting 1 million children each
year.
38% of
all children are born out of wedlock.
For Every Ten Men in The Church:
9 will
have kids who leave the church
8 will
not find their jobs satisfying
6 will
pay monthly minimum on credit cards
5 have a
major problem with pornography
4 will
get divorced
Only 1
will have anything close to a Biblical worldview
All 10
will struggle to balance family and work
In Order to:
See a
moral and Spiritual reformation of society
We must
first see a Discipleship reformation in the church
Which
begins with a reformation of the Christian family
Which
starts with a reformation of Christian marriage
Which
means we need to redefine being a Godly husband
Which
comes from a reformation of Biblical manhood
