Hardcore
Hardcore is our discipleship program for our XTREME Kidz! We are reading through the Bible in one year- a feat that most adults never choose to accomplish.
Hardcore is for grades 2nd - 6th and meets every Wednesday night at 5:15 pm. Dinner is provided, and the students will go to their Wednesday night classes afterward.
We use the Day by Day Kid's Bible by Karyn Henley. Henley has placed the scripture in chronological order- the order in which each story occured. For example, David's psalms are placed with stories about his life, and the Gospels are combined to tell the story of Jesus' life as a whole.
Some passages have been excluded from the text such as geneaologies, parts of long speeches, detailed laws and rituals, extremely abstract and symbolic passages, sexual scenes, and graphic violence. Every Scripture was considered, word by word, as this book was written. The text has been simplified but NOT robbed of its power!
The passages are broken up into days beginning with January 1st and ending with December 31st. You may join us at any time! We have weekly "homework", questions that go along with our reading and pinpoint the main ideas of our text.
